  • Chandan tree occurring in places like western Uttar Pradesh etc. is reported to be of the lowest quality.

Best symptoms of sandalwood

The sandalwood which is of very good quality is white in appearance, but when cut into pieces, it is red in color. On grinding it, a yellow colored substance comes out of it. Its aroma is slightly pungent.

Wett Chandan

This sandalwood is very cold. With this, diseases like burning, fever, vomiting, phlegm etc. can be cured.

Yellow Chandan

This sandalwood is also pungent in aroma and cool. It is beneficial in leprosy, phlegm, fever, burning sensation. Used in shingles, gout, toxins, blood disorders etc.

Beneficial in the smell of sweat

Many people complain of smelling from sweat. If you also want to get rid of this problem, then grind the sandal powder with rose water and apply it.

Relieve headache

There can be many reasons for headache. Any person who is troubled by headache, and wants to get relief from headache in Ayurveda way, should rub sandalwood and apply it on the forehead. It gives relief from headache.

Beneficial in stomach upset

Sandal can also be found in stomach disturbances caused by bile. It provides relief by taking Ghee (5-10 grams).

If there is pain in the navel, keep 2-4 grams of sandalwood powder in the 20-40 ml coconut water at the navel. It gives comfort.

Beneficial to cure leucorrhea

Leucorrhea is a disease caused by women. In this disease, the chances of infection in the body of women increases. In this case, make a decoction of white, or red sandalwood. Drinking 20-30 milliliters of this is beneficial in leucorrhea.

Cook 2-4 grams of chandan powder in milk and ghee. Cool it and add honey, and sugar. Drinking this provides immediate benefit in leucorrhea.

Beneficial in urinary disease

In 10-20 ml washed rice water, mix 2-4 grams of fine sandalwood powder and sugar. Drink it Simultaneously cool the milk by boiling it, and with it, consume food. It provides relief in urinary problems, such as intermittent urination.

If you are troubled by burning sensation in urine, then mix 2-4 grams of sandalwood powder in 50-100 ml cow’s milk. Drinking it gives relief.

Beneficial in anal disorders

One can also take advantage of sandalwood in anal disorders. If there is a burning sensation during bowel movement, or if there is a lot of bad smell from the stool, then mix honey and sugar candy in 2-4 grams of sandal powder. Drink it with washed rice water. It is beneficial in rectal disease.

Beneficial in dysentery

If you have frequent diarrhea, or are coming in blood in the stool, then mix honey and sugar candy in grated white sandalwood. Drink it with washed rice water. It is beneficial in dysentery.

Beneficial in bloodshed (discomfort of bleeding of nose and ears)

If blood comes from different parts of the body, such as nose, anus, or vagina, mix honey in equal parts of sandalwood, liquorice, and Lodhra powder (2-4 grams). Drink this with washed rice water for three days. It provides relief in blood pressure.

Taking fine sandal powder by way of nose stops bleeding from the nose.

Beneficial in relieve fever

You can also use sandalwood to cure fever. Grind the sandalwood  in water. Grinding the bark of its stem and applying it on the body cures fever.

The problem of acidity is common when eating anything upside-down or eating outside. People suffering from acidity, if there is pain in the head and heart after eating, or if there is problem of eyes, then apply liniment, turmeric and sandalwood paste to the heart. It’s profitable.

Relieving irritation of the body

When there is burning sensation in the body, grind the sandal wood in water, and grind the bark of the stem and apply it on the body. This helps to cure burning sensation.

Beneficial in stopping vomiting
