Leaves
The leaves of babul are mixed twice (like dipole) and have dark green feathers. These leaves are small on the stalk, about 4mm to 20 mm long.
Flower
The flowers on this tree are small yellow or golden-yellow in color and are arranged in dense small circular bunches. Each flower has four or five relatively imperceptible petals and oysters and several distinct stamens that give a very attractive appearance to the bunches of flowers. The bunches of circular flowers have 35 to 55 flowers and these flowers bloom on the stalk.
The fruit
Its fruit is a long pod (seed) which is 6cm to 25cm long and 4mm to 15mm wide. Each of its seeds is swollen around and strongly compacted between the seeds. These greenish green pods are covered with short soft hair, and turn green to brown when ripe.
Lifetime of Babul tree
You will be surprised to know that the average yield of the Babylon tree is only about 20 to 30 years, whereas the age of any other tree is twice that. The Babul tree is a very fast-growing plant whose height can reach up to 40 feet.
